GBPW hosts two physician job fairs this Fall
Earlier this Fall, the Georgia Board for Physician Workforce teamed up with the graduate medical education programs at Augusta University and Memorial Health University Medical Center to host its annual practice opportunity fairs. Practice opportunity fairs are job fairs where we link resident physicians with employment opportunities at hospitals, large practices, and community health centers around the Peach State.
On Nov. 14, the Board held the fair at Augusta University in Augusta where it had over 50 resident physicians and about 25 exhibitors representing Georgia-based hospitals. The fair in Savannah at Memorial Health was held on Dec. 6, and boasted around 40 residents with a similar number of exhibitors from the previous fair.
