GBHCW January Board Meeting Highlights

On January 30th, the GBHCW held its first Board meeting of 2025 at our Atlanta office! We had thoughtful conversations about Georgia’s evolving healthcare landscape and released our Fiscal Year 2024 Annual and Awards Reports, which provide a comprehensive financial overview of our activities and programs.

One of the many highlights is the launch of our new Georgia Match Results & GME Dashboard, which offers insights into where Georgia's medical graduates are training—by city, state, residency program, and specialty.

We also welcomed Huron, a consulting group we have worked with closely. They assessed the current supply and anticipated demand for OB/GYN and Pediatric physicians across Georgia. 

The GBHCW proudly announced the recipients of our loan repayment programs for fiscal year 2025. 

Since 2017, GBHCW has granted over 1,000 loan repayment awards, expanding access to care for Georgia residents while alleviating educational debt for healthcare professionals.

Following the meeting, we engaged with legislators to discuss strategies for strengthening Georgia's healthcare workforce in the year ahead.

Our next Board meeting will be held virtually on April 24, 2025.
