Georgia Board of Health Care Workforce Graduate Medical Education (GME) FY25 Expansion Grants

We extend our sincere gratitude to Governor Kemp for signing the Amended Fiscal Year 2025 budget, which allocates an additional $20,007,616 in start-up funding for Graduate Medical Education (GME) programs south of State Route 540. The Georgia Board of Health Care Workforce (GBHCW) is actively developing an application to administer this one-time grant opportunity. These funds will be available over multiple years to support the expansion of new and/or expanded GME slots in this region.

This funding will be instrumental in expanding medical education and training opportunities in our state. We look forward to supporting the growth of GME programs and will provide updates as we move forward. Stay tuned for more details. You can submit your intent with the link below!

The first step in the application process is submitting the Intent to Apply Form, which is required for those interested in applying for funding. If you submit an intent form but later decide not to proceed, you may withdraw it without any issue. This is NOT the full application. The complete application will be released soon.
