GBHCW votes to extend loan repayment awards for 2020

The Georgia Board of Health Care Workforce voted during its quarterly meeting in January to award to 38 physicians, 12 dentists, 20 physician assistants and 20 advanced practice registered nurses through its service-cancelable loan repayment programs for 2020.
 
“The Board appreciates the determination and dedication these rural practitioners deliver to their respective communities,” GBHCW Chairman Antonio Rios, M.D. said. “This year, these awards will reflect the hard work of 90 recipients practicing in 55 different counties who are bringing improved health care access to rural Georgia.”
 
A full list of loan repayment recipients and their practice location counties will be available on the GBHCW’s website after all contracts are fully executed.
